* 8x5 mat board or watercolor cards
* Scissors
* Glue sticks
* Rubber cement or Yes! Glue
* Magazine images
Although we'll have plenty of magazine images on hand, please feel free to bring magazines from home. In addition, you'll need to bring a journal and pen.
We’ll be working on the floor during this workshop, so please bring any cushions you may wish to use. Some will be provided, along with plenty of thick blankets and yoga mats.

Soul Space Cards: A Primer
What are Soul Space Cards?
Soul Space Cards are a creative form of expression to help you explore your inner self in a fun, dynamic, and safe environment. Using the process of SoulCollage® as described in Seena B. Frost's published works about SoulCollage®, Soul Space Cards are an uplifting way to express yourself and explore areas of your personality, life, fears, hopes, and dreams. By creating a montage of images on a card, you're able to fully explore your inner self. If you enjoy the Foundation Workshop and want to continue exploring Soul Space Cards, you'll eventually create your own deck of collaged cards with each card revealing various expressions of who you are.
What's the purpose of Soul Space Cards?
For fun! Yet not only are Soul Space Cards fun, they're a fabulous way tap into your personal inner wisdom and intuition. The Foundational Workshop gets you started in the card making process; from there, you can branch out into a variety of different workshops and card-making themes. Each card you create has its own unique character representing one part of yourself; the deck as a whole represents your entire self. When you pull a series of cards for an intuitive self-reading, your various aspects and personality traits help provide you with insight and inner guidance.
What's different about Soul Space Cards versus a regular vision board?
A "vision board" is a poster-sized creation that often contains a more generalized variety of life themes rather than a focus of just one personality aspect. These boards are fun to create, but once they've been made they're so large that they usually end up stuffed in a closet somewhere, out of sight. With Soul Space Cards, you'll focus on one area of yourself, one card at a time. Examples of popular themes include the Inner Child, the Mother, the Wise One, or the Fool; other areas of exploration include how you feel about a certain situation in your life.
Once you have a few cards made (or an entire deck), you're then able to use them to get in touch with your inner guidance. This helps you find direction in your life, come to terms with unresolved situation or emotions, or simply to spark joy and creativity.
Is this a form of therapy?
Creating Soul Space Cards is definitely a therapeutic and empowering process, but I'm not a licensed therapist and therefore, these workshops aren't considered therapy workshops per se. Any therapeutic benefits you receive from attending a workshop is purely on a personal, individual, and unique level based on your own self only.
